Located in Ramsey, MN, Boilermakers Local 647 has proudly served Minnesota, North Dakota, and South Dakota since its founding in 1936. Local 647 is a construction lodge of the International Brotherhood of Boilermakers, Iron Ship Builders, Blacksmiths, Forgers and Helpers.

As a union, we strongly believe in the education and training of our members both in our apprenticeship program and continuing Journeyworker education. As times and technologies change, our union must change with them. Member training and education are the key to our adaptability. We continue our strong support for unionism and the protection of individual members, but we add to this a serious effort to make our union able to adapt and compete in fluctuating job markets for decades to come. It is our aim to both faithfully serve our members along with the needs of our contractors and customers.
